Mismanagement of the pen in games 4 and 5 doomed them.Torre let Gordon stay too long in game 4, Torre brought in Rivera too early for game 5. And wtf did Torre not have everyone bunt against Schilling in game 6 especially when he had a bloody ankle? Game 7 it was over, Boston gained enough momentum from 3 strait wins [2 on extra inning wins]. |
