Well, my brother IS informed of the memorandum that was out about photography being LEGAL in the MTA system, providing it is not being done in restricted areas. It should be noted that the MTA Police have no call in the security of the NYCT system, NYPD Transit Division does, and sadly it is not well explained to them about the legality of photography in the system, they just do as their superiors inform them, and a lot of them, and I do mean A LOT, are still in the 9/11 mode of hassling anyone snapping pics in the system, why I wish I could truly explain, but it mainly boils down to inability of the superiors of getting information out to them about photography and its legality. |
