In an infamous incident in Philly, the cops beat up three photographers and arrested them for assault & battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. At their trial, even the Police Commissioner testified against them. Dozens of cops perjured themselves.What they hadn't known was that there were four photographers. The fourth had videotaped the whole incident. Upon viewing the tape, the judge threw out the charges against the photographers. The cops and DA were livid because they didn't get convictions. None of the cops was arrested or charged for assault & battery, perjury, or anything. I suspect justice is similar in many cities. |
