Quite true, except I thought that Belmont died in the 1920s?Anyway, I think the LIRR possibility is big enough of a reach (that's possible, if unlikely), the GCT connection is just strikes me as fiction. No evidence at all other than that Belmont had big bucks. Not enough to cut it, in my view. |
