The top picture is a Riverline GTW 2/6, it even says "New Jersey Transit 3516" in the caption. The bottom photo is a LA LRT, either a Nippon Sharyo or one of the Siemens cars, I'd guess a Nippon Sharyo on the Green Line from the highway visible through the window.

Notice that the pattern is virtually identical to that in the LRT from Easy's post.

I kinda prefered the red seats, just cause I remember them from trips into LA in the early 90s.
