I don't really care if they want to do it to more effectively zap squirrels that would otherwise get into covered hoppers and eat the grain, so long as they string some wire and use it. Of course as soon as oil prices dropped in the 1980s those electrification schemes evaporated.Hasn't diesel mileage garnered from locomotives increased appreciably from 1970-levels as well? |
