This may have been discussed previously, but the stop indicator strip maps on the R142/As on the 4 also contain numerous errors. Unlike on the 2, the overnight local stops in Manhattan and Brooklyn are shown. However, the transfer options at 51st, Bleecker and Canal list EVERY route at that connection- including the ones that don't run during the overnight hours.-51 STREET shows transfer to the E and V. Only the E would be available. -BLEECKER STREET shows transfer to the B,D,F and V. Only the D and F would be available. -CANAL STREET shows transfer to the J,M,N,Q,R,W and Z. Only the J,N and Q would be available. I've never ridden the 4 at the time it makes Lex local stops- at least not since the advent of the 142s- but wonder if Jessica announces the correct connections at those stops, or the ones shown on the strip map? FWIW, the 6 does seem to have the correct automated transfer announcements at those stops depending on the time of day. The V,W and Z are correctly omitted on weekends. Likewise, the weekend 2,4 and 5 correctly omit the affected lines at the pertinent locations. |
