Thank you, and to all others offering comments of course.I do recall reading that it was something to do with the wheel arrangement that led to the 103 class being withdrawn prematurely - I think they were gone before 30 years' service, not a great deal compared to some others. I do believe you are also correct about the 146-class. I think two existing 145s were modified as a trial before the 146s were produced en-masse. |
