It was not uncommon of the doors falling off. 1000 along with 1200 were the last R-46 to be GOH. 1000 and 1200 stayed on the JFK Express until the end. 1000 roamed the (G) until she was last R-46 sent out. There was always talk from the few motormen I knew back then of preserving 1 set of R-46's namely 1200. But that went all by the boards. Anyway you might be right, But I remember it being a R-46. I'll have to look a little further. I have a few more pics of the JFK Express. |
