We're not looking at the double digit unemployment and inflation of the Carter years. some people are even calling this a depression 1) We are not yet in a recession, let alone a depression. A recession is defined as 2-7 consecutive quarters of economic contraction. 2) When you get past the 7th quarter and have 8+ consecutive quarters of economic contraction, then you have a depression. The chances of that happening are very slim. 3) Who are these people who are claiming that we are in a depression? |
