The current station only handles 20 tph; the new station will berth 20% more trains and handle all 10 cars at once.The current station only handles 20 tph because that is all that the northern terminal is capable of. Left to its own devices, South Ferry could handle around 30 tph. The new station might be able to berth 20% over the current load, but would still be at a disadvantage to what could be handled. |
