Ironically, train 5505 (the 2:05 am RVL from Newark on Friday and Saturday nights) was overwhelmingly Caucasian. That train comprised mainly of "party" people from Westfield and Cranford. The balance of the ridership was lower class whites who got off at Dunellen, Bridgewater, and Somerville. There wer very few "minorities" on that particular train.And that was one of the first trains they eliminated back in May. |
