So the only article was in AMNY. It is nice to know someone cared.

I also stand corrected in that there was a ceremonial train from Grand Central to Atlantic Av which then run up the 7th Av line to 96th St.

But the question remains - how come the MTA didn't play this up like they did with the 100th Anniversary of the IND? IRT service to Brooklyn was a pivotal point in subway history (subway - not elevated history).
