|
Posted by Allan on Thu Apr 10 17:25:10 2008 Although the 100th Annivesary of service between Bowling Green and Borough Hall was back on January 9, 2008, I saw a sign in the Transit Musume today that indicates that the Train of Many Colors will be used to commemorate the extension from Borough Hall to Atlantic Avenue on May 1, 2008.Exactly what they will do was not indicated. If anyone has any idea, please sound off. As a side note: August 1, 2008 is the 100th Annivesary of the extension of Broadway (today's #1) service from 225th St to 242nd St-Van Cortlandt Park. September 16, 2008 marks the 100th Annivesary the start of BRT/BMT service into Manhattan. That is when the Jamaica El (Eastern Division) was extended from Marcy Avenue, over the Williamsburg Bridge to Essex Street. |
