Generally accurate.The M1 consists on the mainline did reach 90 mph on occasion in the past, though officially the speed limit is 80. I would be in favor of closing more RR crossings (replacing them with overpasses/underpasses) and increasing max authorized speed to 90 or 100 for MU consists. |
