For you to comply with your own statement you would have to ask every person standing in the front of the trains "can I shoot it"? The look on the lady's face is WTF and the fact it is on the internet does little to bolster your argument. Passengers have a reasonable right to privacy in public transportation. You can't compare a commuter or subway train to a tourist attraction. When you ride rollercoasters nowadays you are prewarned of the videos and stills being taken when you are about to crap your pants. Your right to take a photo does not in any way allow for you to harass passengers in order to acheive the money shot. Most photographers give advanced warning before shooting when they are located by crews. The camera presense is enough for a motorman to shield his/her face and most are not caught off guard. Being you used a cell phone due to the crappy composure, she got little warning. Taking her picture in this instant IMO constituted aggrivated harassment. If you are trying to protest the proposed ban or highlight the degrading quality of service, this is not the way to do it. A letter or phone call with appropriate car numbers dates and times usually gets to the right departments.
