There is actually one thing worse: the sort of interchange where the roads are just as big and busy, but they didn't build the flyover for one of the roads. This funnels even more immense amounts of traffic onto the roundabout, and invariably results in a major road being interrupted by a roundabout with traffic lights on it. Two particularly nasty examples are M42 J3 and M42 J4 (both just south of Birmingham, on the bit of beltway that actually got built). J3 in particular would be really great as a cloverleaf. |
