I can't believe anyone would advocate modifying the SAS at this point. That would be disastrous. That project has had enough delays.Maybe another Roosevelt Island connection can be incorporated into the Fifth Avenue Subway or the Third Avenue Subway. It's too late for the SAS though; it just didn't make the cut. In any case, Roosevelt Island riders don't have to stand long on the short ride to Manhattan. I'm sure seats become available as soon as Rockefeller Center anyway. |
