Rules don't exist soley to make our lives more difficult.IMO they do till proven otherwise - they also exist to raise revenue for the state otherwise tax, traffic and parking laws could be significantly simplified.... Perhaps things operated differently in the past due to negligence, ignorance or outright carelessness. Or greater efficiency and a better work ethic. Remember, it was once legal to purchase a machine gun in a hardware store But the change in that law has a logical explanation which is well known to the general public. OTOH Why do they have that stupid law that prevents me from owning an Iguana for a pet in NYC????? |
