As noted in the other thread on this:I would have a new tunnel that would initially serve as a terminal on the northern end of Roosevelt Island and first stop in Manhattan on 76th or 79th street and York-1st Avenues before joining the SAS with a stop at 72nd/2nd and then most likely going with the Q train to Broadway via 63rd street. This would most likely have the N for the new line, with the Q remaining as it will once the SAS is built, the W as the full-time Astoria line and the R as it is now. Eventually, this new tunnel could be extended into Queens and become the super express on Queens Blvd. that can terminate at the never used upper level of Roosevelt Avenue. That to me is what could be done on this. |
