I personally thought (puts up anti-flame shield) of a new terminal at Union Turnpike. The local would spur off/on from its current tracks west of Forest Hills/71 Av to a new lower level, which would split to 4 tracks, with the 2 inner tracks for terminating U. Tpke. trains, and the 2 outer leading to a new Union Turnpike Line.

Obviously, this new lower level would have cross-platform transfers, still thinking how it would look like with the yard leads and all at the lower level, and this is just PART of my complete idea for the Queens Blvd Trunk (Super Express lines, new EL's, room for provision, etc) course all of this would be very costly and never would come to pass, but, I can have ideas, right? I'm only 16 :-P (Now if only I could find a way to make a visual to post what I mean...)
