How would replacing a line that runs through 60th Street with one that runs through 63rd overwhelm a line that goes through 53rd?The 53rd St line provides for a transfer to the Lex. The 60th St line provides for a transfer to the Lex. The 63rd St line does NOT provide for a transfer to the Lex. If QB riders are deprived of the transfer to the Lex by diverting trains to 63rd St, than many more riders will use the already crowded E train to 53rd St. This is why I don't think that we will see the N train use the 63rd St connector. |
