How about sending every other R train through 63rd instead of 60th st? Or every other V train? Or some combination? Or terminate some R trains at 57th and send some Q trains through? The last one is probably too complicated. Give the alternate routing a different letter so people know which way it is going, but otherwise keep the trains the same.It will add some service to RI without taking too much away from other service. Although I don't ever see it myself, I hear (here mostly) that the V isn't all that crowded, and maybe there is some capacity there to reroute some trains via 63rd. |
