This is just a scam that every several years a new uniform is designed, issued and then changed again.Must be a MTA board member looking out for a family member or friend who owns a uniform company or stock in one. For years bus operators wore blue uniforms, then in 1997 we changed to gray pants and then several years later back to blue. Since I've been a DOb employee we had several uniform companies. When I started in 1995 they had tailors who custom fitted your uniforms at Walnut depot, and I can't imagine they costed as much as a large faceless company that makes crap. I spend at least $150 a year on my own pants and shirts when the crap issued to us shreds to pieces. |
