We get good deals on shoes too, however only with the vendor chosen by NJT. It used to be Knapp Shoes/Iron Age, but they went out of business this past year. We have a new vendor (I forget the name), but the selection isn't that great. We get an assistant conductor hat badge with our employee number issued upon completion of class, then approx. 2 years later we have to pass a conductor promotion exam. After passing that, we get a conductor hat badge issued. We're supposed to wear whatever is appropriate, unless one gets lost or broken. We don't have tie clips or belt buckles. |
