It is what I consider approval by inaction rather than by action. The MTA and the NYPD are fully aware what their employees are doing. The NYCLU, NPPA, Pictureny.Org, and various photo clubs have written letters and filed complaints. The fact that they have not issued a clarification of the rules to their employees means that they are allowing, if not encouraging harassment of photographers. |
