If the T/O actually said everything the way you describe, then he should be disciplined. My preference in this case would be termination because he so egregiously exceeded the scope of his authority, violated TA policy and, in addition, made a baseless public accusation (slander) while in uniform and representing the Transit Authority in doing so.Arguably, had other passengers threatened physical violence against you, the T/O could have been criminally charged. |
