The overwhelming majority of Senators and Congressmen voted to pass the Patriot Act. There were 98 senators who voted "yea". The Democrat most likely to be the party nominee for President in 2008 (Hillary) voted "yea." In the House, there were 357 congressmen who voted "yea" (211 Republicans and 145 Democrats) and 62 who voted "nay" (3 Republicans and 67 Democrats). |
