Exactly, this is merely entertaining the idea of such a 5mi tunnel going to Manhattan. Any such plans to extend the 1 train to SI is stretching such a fantasy idea.If anything it should be the SIRT that is sent beyond SI. The current subways are 'barely handling their own riders' and an extension beyond their limits would really mess up service. |
