I think it's the internal dimensions too; putting electronic equipment inside the car, disabled room-to-pass, doorway areas, larger bathrooms, etc., all stuck into roughly the same dimensions. Probably one of the only ways to come up with roomier seats might have been to go with 2x2 seating, but that leaves more standees. All that is a long way of saying that I'm not sure whether the older cars' seating would fit into the new M7 cars. |
