Is that right..?Then why did they bend over backwards some years ago to keep it part of the city? Why all the transportation givebacks..tolls reduced for S.I residents..and other incentives? Why all this talk of TWO NEW LIGHT RAIL ROUTES..AND a new Narrows Tunnel connection to the 4th avenue subway..if thats what the CITY WANTS? I'm afraid you are mistaken..its STATEN ISLAND that wants to leave..and I don't blame them..hell...if it were up to me..I'd make BROOKLYN its own city[cause we DON'T need "CITY-ITS']... LOL! |
