I still think the SIR has more in common with the LIRR than it does with the rest of the subway system, even if it has a fixed fare and subway-style rolling stock. BTW, I believe PATH is still physically connected to the NEC near Newark, it operates on an FRA waiver which allows it exist and operate under the rules of a rapid transit line anyway. |
