Posted by 9 local on Sat Nov 3 12:01:37 2007, in response to Re: Staten Island Railway to get New Trains, posted by (SIR) North Shore Line on Sat Nov 3 11:58:00 2007. yet it is not a commuter rail line because it doesn't go from the suburbs into the city. it just goes from the suburbs (yes, richmond county is a suburb) to the ferry that TAKES you into the city that is still a half hour away. it is basically its own animal, more like the isle of wight line in england than anything else. |
