He Reads the Post, posted by Olog-hai on Wed Oct 24 07:04:21 2007. I've been unable to find out what the "h" stands for. I'm now wondering if it's an affectation, sort of like the "S" in Harry S. Truman. What I also found out is that Hemmerdinger was nominated for this position back in June of this year. At the time, Sewell Chan of the Times reported that the power of the MTA Chairman has been much reduced since Spitzer's reorganization of the agency. Reduced Powers of MTA Chairman |
