That truck set from the Arnine is an arch-bar type, right ? I read someplace that The FRA has outlawed them on railroads involved in interstate commerce, so if a museum Arnine has to be moved somewhere away from NYC Subway rails, it would have to be on a flatbed truck or on a flatcar. Still, the piece is a marvel of work that did serious duty for years, and I really like the sound of those trains at high speed. |
