Actually, for the LIRR on the diesel trains, there is no such thing as "Old Fashioned PA announcements". Until the 1998 when the old diesels were retired, the announcements were the conductors and trainmen screaming in the doorways...."OOOOOOOOAKDALE!!!!!!" "THIS IS OOOOOOOOAAAAKDALE!!!"
