Everybody knew which service they were getting until they stopped using markers and end sign lights.In other words, after 20 years of service, they finally corrected that design flaw. I would think that had they known all the confusion the loss of these elements would have caused, they probably would have ordered extra B cars in the R142/A order and put them in service on the 7 line, instead of all of them being stuck on the IRT mainline. |
