Leave it to the TA to come up with something approaching the least economical solution. There are approximately 407 cars and 37 trainsets cars assigned to the Flushing Line, including spares. 31 trainsets are required for peak operation. That means installing approximately 1000 signs on the cars.Local/Express signs are needed at only the 7 stations from Times Square to Queensboro Plaza. Placing 11 signs on each platform (overkill) would involve only 77 signs. |
