And now, a few LACMTA Red Line pics: This was taken 5/23/02 at the Red Line shops. I wasn't trespassing, then-SCRTD was holding an Opne House. This was before the Red Line initial segment opened (on 1/30/93). The open house was originally scheduled for 5/2/92, but had to be postponed due to a "minor civil disturbance" that happened in L. A. earlier that week. :)  This was taken on the second day of Red Line service, 1/31/93 (I missed the opening day because I was in Palm Springs). 514 is eastbound at 7th St/Metro Center. Yes, I used flash, I didn't know any better back then. No one said anything.  This was later the same day, possibly at then-western terminal Westlake/MacArthur Park. I have a sh*tload of Blue Line pics, but it seems I didn't upload them to Photobucket yet. I'll have to track them down and post later. That's it for now! |
