Another train on the Bayside, just out of 12th/Imperial. Petco Park is now located a bit to the left of this pic (AFAIK).  A 2-car train of Siemens SD-100s on the Bayside. The third track in the pic, closest to the camera is unpowered and used for Coaster and Amtrak trains to access their yard, which is right next to the Trolley yard.  I took a ride out to Santee on the East/Orange Line one day. Here is SD-100 2040 at the Santee terminal.  The same train leaving Santee.  The finale from San Diego: there's a perspective you don't often get! An train of SD-100s, as taken from the Marriott Hotel next door to the San Diego Convention Center. I was there for a trade show connected with my job. Later that year, the Republican Convention was held at the Convention Center. Up next, a few L. A. pics. |
