The 44's sounded just like the M1-? class cars on the railroads. They still have the P-Wire I heard.The 46's; I'm not sure, as I did not even recognize a difference in the "new cars" until in my teens; when the 44's disappeared for a while; and by then; the 46's were doing that whistle thing. I wonder if anyone remembers the 68's whistling somewhat like that for a while when fairly new; and the (Phase II I believe) 32's right after GOH. |
