I done so many hikes like that it ain't funny. That's the way to do it bro, transit out to somewhere and follow your feet. One of the reasons I like Jersey so much. So many ways to amble and never be too far from a transit connection. Take a train to a station somewhere, walk away from the town, you know eventually you'll come upon another rail line or bus that'll take you back. I don't know, I've always found it just cool to walk through towns like that. When you're walking it's a feeling of freedom that driving can't equal, IMO. |
