This does not depend on the one turnstile. However, I don't know if SIRTOA has an estimate as to what proportion do not continue the trip on a bus.Riders who use one bus and the train pay the same fare that anyone in the other boroughs pays. The folks who truly get a free ride are the ones usng only the train or only the train and the Ferry IF they get off at other than St. George and walk the rest of the way to the Ferry. Yes you can use a bus, the train and then another bus, but if much of the time you could have just used two buses to get where you're going, so I don't count that as much benefit (railbuffs who have to use rail as one segment excepted). |
