The SIRT is for all purposes a "Railroad operating subway equipment"...Due to the fact that SIRT employees are trained on NYCT equipment..I believe R46 cars SHOULD be sent there... But REBUILT M-1 cars Should be sent there, to save on purchasing new cars..to increase service....and running times.. Higher speeds,better passenger comforts....all a plus. |
