The price of platform edge/screen doors is probably only a small fraction of the price they would have to pay for additional stops east of GCTThink about continued maintenance over the years (the difference between "spend money now or spend money later"). Initial capital cost is but a fraction of what the total cost will be; actual stations are not as maintenance-intensive and far more useful. |
