Only problem with Market is that LRVs with pantographs can't use the overhead (I forget the technical reason why).The pantos will touch the negative wire too, creating a nice short circuit. They had to use 2 Boeings (1220 and 1221, or was it 1221 and 1222?) to help out, but since the pantographs wouldn't work, they had to fit them with trolley poles. 1220-1221(now 1212-1213) originally had poles so they could run during testing on surface tracks. They put them back on for the festival. |
