"let them eat cake" is for the transit dependent. the entire flavor of the carpeted Metro anti subway is comfort for the "choice" read auto owner rider. many of them in fact refuse to use buses. For starters the perceived comfort of a barrier fare control station as opposed to a bus stop sign on the corner is a strong differential. These are the same people who DRIVE to Metro(or BART).. |
