No, the grade elimination only happened aroun Richmond Hill, not the other stations. It was a necessary project to grade eliminate that location, can you imagine grade crossings over there? Remember, while the line still has a lot of freight trains today, back in the 1920's, it was constant frieght. Can you imagine a grade crossing closing Jamaica Ave and Hillside every time a freight train went by? |
