Here's the Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens sections.

Personally, I've been a big critic of "The Map" since its January 1998 premiere. Most customers who ask for "The Map" want a "subway map", not a MTA regional system map including subways, commuter lines and regional connections. What's the point of have the Metro-North/LIRR on the reverse side if most folks who ride subways (or use a subway map) won't even use MNCR/LIRR. Ditto to having MTA Bridges and Tunnels on the map! Most NYCT riders don't even drive!

The clutter on the "The Map" can be annoying, especially with those "pop-up" boxes listing transfers and connecting routes. The lack of individual route information (the "strip maps" we saw in the past on the Tauranac maps) on the reverse is another off point. "The Map" could be improved if it was published in two seperate editions-"subway only" with individual route information (service, frequencies and strip maps on reverse) and a "regional edition"-covering the whole MTA system.

I still prefer the original 1979-97 Tauranac maps. "The Map" ruined Tauranac's unique style. (But the September 2002 edition restored the classic-styled paneled service guide listing hours of operation that dissapeared after 1997).
