The idea of running E and F service express east of Forest Hills and having locals like the V or R running local was tried in the late 1980's and it failed miserably. Less than two years after the R was extended to 179th St 24/7, it was cut back to rush hours only, then cut back completely in 1992. The people who use Hillside Ave. local stations will simply not have it. |
